The Birth of Jesus
The Third Joyful Mystery of the Rosary is the Nativity of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, more often known as Christmas.
At the top of the window is a symbol of the Star of David being held by two angels. The number of points on a star has significance. The six points on the Star of David are said to represent the six attributes of God - power, wisdom, majesty, love, mercy and justice. This ancient religious symbol also reminds us that Jesus comes from “the house of David” as recalled in the Gospels [cf. MT 1, LK 1], Acts of the Apostles, and the writings of St. Paul.
The lower half of the window depicts the manger scene we are all familiar with showing the Christ child with Mary and Joseph being adored by three shepherds [see Luke’s Gospel].
