The Ascension of Jesus into Heaven
The Second Glorious Mystery of the Rosary is the Ascension of Our Lord, when, 40 days after His Resurrection, Christ returned to His Heavenly Father.
At the top of the window is a symbol of the Raven which is an ancient Christian symbol representing darkness, sin, and death.
In the window below is depicted the scene of Christ’s ascension into heaven. (see Luke 24:31, Acts 1:1-11)
Thus, there is an interesting interplay in the window showing Christ’s ultimate conquering of sin and death in the resurrection and pointing the way to everlasting life in the ascension.
