Parents:
- Must be parishioners of the Cathedral and be registered at least 1 month before baptism.
- They must present a copy of the child's birth certificate so that all names are spelled correctly on the baptismal certificate.
Godparents:
- They must be married by the Catholic Church and they must present their marriage certificate (a photo is acceptable).
- They must be confirmed and they must present their certificate of confirmation (a photo is acceptable).
- If they are not parishioners of the Cathedral, they must present a letter of permission from their parish priest where they attend Mass.
Single sponsors:
- They must be over 16 years old.
- They must present a copy of their confirmation certificate.
Parents who are not parishioners:
If you want your child to be baptized in the Cathedral, parents must present a letter of permission from their parish priest where they are registered, and all the documents mentioned above. (For example, when the godparents are parishioners and the parents come to the Cathedral from another parish to baptize.)
All must present a certificate or letter verifying that they took the baptism class.
Those to be Baptized:
Any person over 7 years of age should receive a more complete formation for Baptism and other sacraments. In this case, please contact the office directly.
Baptism Classes in English:
1st Monday of the month at 7:00 p.m. in the Conference Room; located on the second floor of the parish office. Registration is required.
Baptism Classes in Spanish:
First Saturday of the month, 4:00 p.m., on the second floor of the office, Pius X Room. Space is limited. Registration is required for this class. Please call the office.
Baptisms in English:
Monthly on 2nd Saturdays at 6:15 p.m.
Baptisms in Spanish:
The 1st, 3rd, and 4th Saturday of each month at 6:15 p.m.
